Tips for smooth yachting at the Yacht and Brokerage Show in Miami Beach

The Yacht & Brokerage Show in Miami Beach opens this Thursday and we want to make your trip to South Florida for the show a memorable experience. We have compiled some commonly asked questions to make sure you have a fun and productive boat show.
Food and Drinks
The boat show has food and drinks for everyone of all ages. If you get to the show early come for breakfast and pick up and cup of coffee and a pastry between the 10 Cane cocktail barge and Ramp 14. If you are there for lunch or dinner we have something to peak your interest as well. On show site there are several menu choices to take care of your hunger after cruising the docks for your new dream boat. There are a number of things available depending on what you are hungry for: gyros, hamburgers, fried shrimp, hotdogs, steak sandwiches, crab cakes, popcorn, wraps and much more. Come check out the South cocktail barge at Ramp 32 or the 10 Cane Cocktail Barge at Ramp 16 where you can relax with a glass of wine, beer, mixed drink, pina colada, rum runner or a non-alcoholic beverage, while listening to live music all five show days.
Restrooms
The restrooms are located on the east side of Collins Avenue on the 4400 block in the parking lot on the beach. There are also three separate temporary facilities one at the north end adjacent to Ramp 6 and two at the show’s south end, adjacent to Ramps 30 and 34. Can’t find the Exhibitor you are looking for?
See one of the six information centers along Collins Ave. The friendly staff has been trained to help you make the most of your show experience and direct you in the right direction.
I want a certain type of boat, where is the general area I need to be?
There is a new sport fishing dock where several exhibitors will showcase their vessels, located at the north end of the show. If you are looking for a brokerage boat, in the middle of the show is where you want to be, between ramps 9-22. For new yachts, the show’s south end is a great starting place.
Do all the docks connect through the entire show?
No all the different displays do not connect. Ramps 1-8 and 22-37 are all individual displays that do not connect across the show. Ramps 9-22 you can jump from dock to dock.
What about getting on a big boat that is out of my price range?
Be honest and inform the salesperson that you would like to see the yacht at a convenient time for them that would not interfere with buyers. Some exhibitor’s will gladly allow you to come back and check out the yacht of your dreams and some unfortunately may say no. It is up to the individual exhibitor, broker or owner of the boat as to whether they will let you on or not. I want this boat now where are the financing companies at the show?
Caterpillar, Inc.- Ramp 15, Booth 4
Pensum LTD.- Ramp 15, Booth 2

Now where can I get insurance for my new boat at the show?
