New England Boatyard and Nelson/Marek Yacht Design have created a one- to two-man daysailing yacht. Scoot makes use of ever y bit of available technology including a hydraulic sail-control system and under-deck jib furler by Harken, a swept spreader carbon rig by Hall Spars and a Forespar hydraulic boom furling main.The result is a 55-foot performance sailing yacht with an amazingly clean deck that a single experienced sailor can handle.

All electronic systems are controlled at the push of a button easily within reach of one of the two wheels. Despite the goal of simple and low-maintenance operation, the cockpit offers plenty of space for family and friends to relax with the wind whipping through their hair.
