Big changes planned for the world's largest boat show

Show Management, the producers of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, have been working on a wide range of enhancements aimed at setting a new standard in this year’s engagement. Here is a sneak peek at a few of the planned changes in the ongoing mission to make the world’s largest boat show a spectacular event now and for the future.
Themed Areas
Attendees to this year’s event will be greeted with a series of themed areas designed to engage various areas of the marine interest. Among the planned changes is the new Performance Village, located along H-I Dock on the north side of Bahia Mar.
This redesigned section of the show will feature a more visible layout showcasing the hi-performance go-fast boats from the world’s leading power boating manufacturers and a tent structure with an array of accessories all in the new Performance Village. Also planned for this section is a performance themed floating cocktail barge with added entertainment that will no doubt make this a popular area. Not to be outdone is the show’s new Sportfish Village located along C-D Dock on the south side of Bahia Mar. This themed village will feature a tent structure housing custom sportfish manufacturers, along with fishing accessories and services. The surrounding water will house custom boats, one-of-a-kind fishing machines and easy access to Hatteras, Cabo, Bertram and Viking displays.
Following up on the interest shown at last years show in the long range cruiser and trawler markets, PassageMaker Magazine’s TrawlerPort will return to B Dock with a great line-up of long range cruisers from the world’s leaders and added innovations catering to the long-range cruising lifestyle topped off with many informative seminars. Check back soon for the schedule of events and seminars.
The last area and certainly not the least, is the Superyacht Builders Association (SYBAss) Pavilion. This is truly a village within a show as it’s an assembly of the most magnificent shipyards on the planet. This air-conditioned structure containing exquisite displays and Super VIP like setting is surrounded by the new superyachts that make the show famous. The SYBAss Pavilion will be located on the Face Dock just outside the Yacht Builders and Designers Tent.
Other new show enhancements include a revised, expanded and pedestrian-friendly Electronics Pavilion, upgraded food areas, additional cocktail barges, quick charge phone stations, and advance parking passes.
