These boats will turn heads when you pull up to the docks
Sarasota and surrounding waters are known to be extremely shallow, not to mention the shifts that change our shallows a lot from day to day. Gulf Coast boaters are skilled at navigating around these conditions, particularly in Big Sarasota Pass, New Pass and Longboat Pass, but as any experienced boater will tell you: a shallow draft boat is key.
At the Suncoast Show, you don’t have to go far down the docks to find a boat that’s really well-suited to our local conditions. Right along the bulkhead are two Hinckleys- a Talaria 43 and a Picnic Boat- that have the shallowest draft of any boats in their size and category. The Hinckley Picnic boat has a draft of just 25 inches and the Talaria 43 just 28 inches. They achieve this shallow draft with jet propulsion, a drive system that no underwater appendages to foul and also provides smooth operation and easy, precise controls. And of course, Hinckley quality will carry you far beyond the shoal waters when cruising calls you to the Gulf and beyond.

Looking for something a bit smaller? Right next to the Hinckleys are Hunt Yachts’ new Hunt 32 Center Console and the Hunt Harrier 25. Outboards let these boats go where you choose, but the ride is what makes them legendary. Nothing beats the Hunt Deep-V ride and the fit and finish of these boats will turn some heads when you pull up to the dock-and-dines along the Intracoastal.
