Prepare to be wowed! An amazing 3D projection mapping display will transform the west exterior wall of the Bahia Mar Hotel into a dramatic marine-themed display of light, color and sound on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30, 8 and 8:30 p.m., following the close of the show. Find a spot and enjoy the spectacle as three different eight-minute shows light up the night with vibrant images of the sea.
Projection mapping is an exciting art form that turns buildings and landscapes into dynamic displays of art by merging real and virtual realities. Using specialized software, a two- or three-dimensional object is spatially mapped on the virtual program which mimics the real projection environment.
“Many exhibitors use the show’s beautiful setting and the impressive exhibit spaces they’ve created to entertain their VIP guests and clients after hours,” said Brett Keating, vice president of consumer marketing for Show Management. “The 3D projection mapping show is great entertainment and will elevate that experience for them and for other guests who stay to enjoy it.”
The 3D show is produced by Los Angeles-based Paintscaping. “We are really looking forward to complementing what this boat show is all about through an exciting demonstration of three dimensional digital art and sound,” said Phillipe Bergeron, president of Paintscaping. “Boats and sea life will literally look as if they are floating mid-air around the Bahia Mar Hotel.”
