Another Successful Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

The 49th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in Fort Lauderdale, Florida had another successful year.  Show Management was happy with the turn out as attendance was within 4% of last year and there were buyers keeping the dealers busy. Boating enthusiasts enjoyed the great outdoors and wonderful weather while pricing and comparing hundreds of boats from all different sizes and makes.

The vessels ranged from 8’-204’ including several environmentally friendly vessels as well.  Also on display was a full range of marine products and accessories. The weekend’s entertainment also included live music on the fabulous floating cocktail barge and the Hook the Future Free Kids Fishing Clinics on Saturday and Sunday where children received free admission, rod and reel, tackle box and several other goodies while making new friends.  Florida Sport Fishing also held adult fishing seminars on Saturday & Sunday that we packed with attendees picking the fishing brains of several knowledgeable fishermen from the area. 

Several exhibitors’s had very successful shows this year and we would like to spotlight a few. 
Don Cobb from Regal Marine stated, “The Fort Lauderdale Boat Show turned out to be our best show ever! I back this statement based on the number of boats sold and our dollar volume. We sold 17 boats worldwide and expect to see more orders in the weeks following the show.  Our strategy for the show was quite simple. Go there fully prepared, determined to sell and maintain a positive attitude - and it really paid off”.  Regal Boats will also be at the St. Petersburg Boat Show & Strictly Sail with Quality Boats of Clearwater in slips 834-844. 

For first time exhibitor New Products Solutions the show was a huge success.  David Lang, President of New Product Solutions stated “We were thrilled with the positive response to our new product, "Your New Barnacle Solution".  This unique product is designed to keep barnacles from attaching to your boat without using toxins, carcinogens, or hazardous metals to do so.  We were hoping to find dealers and distributors for our products at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.  We were overwhelmed with takers, both in United States and in twelve other countries.  We have already begun shipping to our local global markets”.  New Products Solutions will also be exhibiting at the all new St. Petersburg Boat Show & Strictly Sail Show on December 4-7 in booth 243, so make sure to swing buy and check out their new product.
