| Details: | This seminar is a hands-on "Learn How to Tie Knots" presentation. It covers the properties and uses of rope in the marine environment, and details the construction of five knots most used by recreational boaters. Most importantly, it offers participants the opportunity to hone their knot tying skills. |

| Bio | Kenneth Beckman is a professional engineer who has been teaching seamanship and navigation since 1943. He is the author of the USPS Guide, "Knots, Bends and Hitches for Mariners", and is currently the Chair of the USPS Offshore Navigation Committee. |
